The firing order of a V8 Lexus engine
Firing Order: 1 – 8 – 4 – 3 – 6 – 5 – 7 – 2
This order of firing is the same on all the Lexus V8 UZ family of engines. The diagram above shown the left and right distributor sequences and therefore have the C between the first second and forth connector on the distributors. This C stands for the main coil contact. On the newer 1UZ and 3UZ this does not apply as they have a coil per plug tube system. This is a newer development and is better in the way you have no HT cords to the spark plugs and will give a stronger spark to the atomized fuel mixture insuring a better combustion cycle.
Be sure to get your firing order correct as this will cause a bad running engine is placed incorrectly. You can find the HT Lead detail under our DIY section as well if you find misfiring on your Lexus V8 1UZFE engine. This could also be a function on the spark plugs.
